The Peanut, St Kilda

The Peanut, so-called because the design concept called for the twisting shape of a peanut, is a circular stainless steel and glass tower enclosing a terrace viewing room on the second floor, and an enclosed dining room on the first floor.

Structural support are four steel columns carrying eight stainless steel rings, 76mm diameter, attached to which are the lateral twisted elements running top to bottom. All stainless steel linished 306 grade pipe.

Glazing is segmented toughened glass panels with solar film.
